Nothing wrong with stadium if the team perform well
Today was a great example of the difference in the stadium when we play well. The first half performance created a nervy, edgy, atmosphere that has been common in most home games this season. Second half when the team performed much better led to a terrific loud enthusiastic response. If our team had played this season like last then the satadium would be getting a much better press.
After all when WH were poor at the Boleyn it didn't exactly rock did it.

The stewards turned up en masse in block 130 again where we all stand quite happily. We got told to sit down as per. The reply by a rather large gentleman to my left seemed to flummox the stewards and after consultation they all marched back up the steps.

He said ' Tell you what start getting the ones at the front to sit down and work your way back up to me. Because if I sit down now all I will see is someones arse. So off you go, happy to sit down if I can see the game'

Quite simple really. Don't fucking start asking people to sit down half way up a block.

I thought the atmosphere was excellent on Saturday particularly in the second half. that's despite ex spurs employee Garth Crooks calling the Stadium a make shift graveyard.
Then again there are some on here who would probably agree with him, but i can accept that from our own, but he such a condescending prick.

I have had to miss the game (and others - plastered at Christmas - literally!). But I heard on the radio and TV an excellent atmosphere. Watching on TV the crowd doesnt feel that far away (obviously my upper tier another matter!). However, there are still too many empty seats where people just don't turn up and clearly being white doesn't help.

Also, the segregated section behind the goal needs looking at next year - comes across badly on TV and these are surely prime seats worth having OUR fans in.

Finally don't object to getting searched but the issue with kids being done separately and potentially away from their parents isn't good.

I watched the game on telly and then again on MOTD. Both times the crowd sounded awesome.

I have freebies to Arsenal at times and they have become very hot on searching people. Bags are tagged to show they have been searched.

1964 - True.

I have no idea if Brady is telling the truth either as I don't go to many other London grounds. Well not this season anyway.

I don't think those that would like to blow us up would necessarily come through the turnstiles.

I'd be looking closer to home like the 1500 or so security or catering bods, they could quite easily be infiltrated by some nutter.

Once iam in and if we are playing well, the Stadium grows on you, Drank in the Carpenters before the game for the 1st time and it was rocking, so judging by the ubs that i have been in so far The Queens head, Railway and Carpenters Pre-Match seem seem just as good as the the Boleyn, Central and Millers Well, it going to all be about what you make of it. so best to get on with it as its not going to go back or stop going.

Who's David Emery, Dick Emery's long lost brother?

Its our home so we need to get on with it. I think the performances have been poor so not much to cheer about and the stadium is still finding it self. Onwards and upwards

Due to the Security Level being put up to "Severe". All grounds in London are having body searches as you go in....

SO Lady Brady has been informing people on Twitter.

Must admit I would rather have a 4/5 min queue to get in than get my legs blown off...

Re: Nothing wrong with stadium if the team perform well
Why do they insist on searching every single bloody person who goes into that stadium. Pain in the fucking arse.

Does the Rubicon have a beautifully restored historic lifeboat moored on its banks or would it have been more use if I'd just set fire to that £25 I donated?

Back on the topic, as we walked into the stadium on Saturday my mate - a veteran poster on here - hit the nail on the head. "I read WHO in the week and nearly get convinced this is a shithole. Then I come here and really like the place."

Can't be anything wrong with the stadium, Mr Moon hasn't left early once yet.

Re: Nothing wrong with stadium if the team perform well
It will take more than one decent 2nd half to feel like anything near home, probably a whole generation

Once the searches, long distance by views, hikes to the OS and queues etc become the norm and the Percy's and tourists are expected in numbers week in and week out,

Watched the Everton game today, lucky bastards their fans never mind the win still in a proper old school, great for watching football stadium and bollocks if their is restricted views from the away bit
